www.jtaonline.co.uk is the appointed UK travel agent of JTA Travel Group and acts as agent for various airlines and other travel suppliers. The terms and conditions imposed by these suppliers should be considered as applied to your contract with JTA Travel Group.

When you book a scheduled flight only ticket through us, we are only acting as a booking and ticketing agent on behalf of the carrier. Your contract for the sale of scheduled flights is therefore subject to the carrier’s terms and conditions of carriage, individual restrictions (i.e. fare rules) applying to the scheduled flights in question plus the carrier’s cancellation and refund terms and ticket and fare rules and those detailed on the flight reservation pages of this website.

The products available on this web site are only available to UK residents or those who have visited the UK in the last 12 months prior to departure. Your booking on this website is conditional on you accepting our terms. If you do not agree with any part of them you must not proceed with your booking. By clicking on the “book” button you accept that you have read, understood and accepted our terms. If there is any part that you do not understand, or if you have a query on the flight or any product, please contact our web help desk on: 0870 224 0083, or you can e-mail us at info@jtair.co.uk

  PRICES
The prices for scheduled flights on this web site are in pounds sterling. The payment screen will show any other relevant charges such as booking fees, credit card charges and scheduled airline failure insurance. Please note: If taxes, security or fuel surcharges are introduced or increased subsequent to publication the scheduled flight cost may be increased to cover this. Once the full price has been paid we will not increase the price paid unless the carrier also increases the price of your flight; in this case we reserve the right to pass the additional cost onto you.

A compulsory charge for airline failure cover has been added to your booking unless you have advised us you have alternative cover and we have a copy of your policy. The charge insures all passengers on this booking against repatriation costs in the unlikely event the carrier you are booked to travel with becomes insolvent or otherwise ceases to trade. Cover is limited to a maximum of £1,500 per passenger.

JTA reserve the right to refuse any reservation without notice or to advise of fare discrepancies within 2 working days (excluding bank holidays) of the reservation being made.

  BOOKING
Tickets are sold to credit card holders or registered travel agents only. If you are not a registered travel agent, we require payment by credit card. A 2.5% charge for payment by Visa or MasterCard ( 3% for American Express or Diners Card) will be added to your invoice when you select your chosen payment method. If paying by debit card a charge of 0.5% will be added.  The credit card information is validated prior to the transaction being finalised. Despatch address for tickets must be the same as the billing address for the card. When making a booking, we require a deposit to secure the seats; the amount of deposit will be advised at time of booking. However some airlines require payment in full at time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable and should you fail to pay the balance when it is due we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit that has been paid.

We will then send you a confirmation invoice, after which a contract exists, subject to English law unless otherwise agreed. We will require payment of the remaining balance as shown on your confirmation invoice. All balances must be received no less than six weeks before your departure from the UK or before. If you book within six weeks of departure from the UK we will require full payment at the time of booking. All monies paid to travel agents are held by the agent on our behalf at all times. Travel documents will not be released until we have received full payment.

JTA reserve the right to refuse any reservation without notice or to advise of fare discrepancies within 2 working days (excluding bank holidays) of reservation being made. Please note that a flight described as "direct" will not necessarily be non-stop.

Your ability to cancel or alter your booking depends upon any fare rules, and/or your contract with the carrier and the carrier’s cancellation or amendment policy. You may lose all or part of the price paid for the flight and/or pay an amendment charge which may be levied by the carrier and/or us. If you are booking within 7 days of your scheduled departure date and there is not enough time to send you a written confirmation, a contract will exist when we confirm your booking via the web site, at which stage we notify you by return e-mail to the address notified to us on this web site. We and the carrier reserve the right at our absolute discretion to refuse your booking, in which case any money paid will be refunded in full.

The scheme does not apply for amounts greater than £5,000 per person. There is also a limit of £25,000 per booking form. Neither does it apply to claims that are solely or mainly in respect of physical injury or illness. The application for arbitration must be made within 9 months of the date of return to the United Kingdom, but in special circumstances it may still be offered outside this period. Alternatively, you may wish to take any dispute to the small claims court.

Full details of the Arbitration scheme can be obtained from: www .abta.com or in writing from Association of British Travel Agents, 68-71 Newman Street, London W1T 3AH

  CHILD PRICES
Each carrier has its own restrictions with respect to children. However, subject to availability and any other restrictions imposed children are usually defined as those aged 2-11 years on the date of their return flight. When booking low cost carriers please refer to the carriers website for child ages.

  CHECK-IN AND FLIGHT TIMES
Timings shown are local times based on the 24 hour system and may change during periods according to the individual country’s daylight saving policy. Flight times on this website are for guidance only and are subject to change. Actual flight times will be shown on your flight ticket. It is important that you check your flight details and times on receiving your tickets. We advise you to check-in in plenty of time before departure. For European flights the normal check in time is at least two hours before flight departure and for transatlantic flights 3 hours. We also recommend that you reconfirm your return journey with the carrier’s local representative 72 hours before your return flight. Air transport regulations require that the spelling of your name on your ticket is identical to your passport.

  BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
The baggage allowance per person is shown on your ticket and may vary by airline, destination and class of travel. Infants under the age of 2 on the date of their return flight have no allowance. Airlines are increasingly enforcing stricter controls over excess baggage. You should be aware that if you exceed the baggage allowance stated on your ticket then an excess baggage allowance may be charged by the airline at the time of checking in. The excess baggage charge may be as much as 1% of the premium fare charged by that airline per kilogram over your allowance.

  PREGNANCY
If you are pregnant you should check with your doctor that it is safe for you to travel. If you are more than 28 weeks pregnant at the time of your return scheduled flight, airlines insist on a medical certificate stating you are fit to fly.

  INFANTS
Normally, for UK registered aircraft, infants under 6 months must sit on the adult’s lap with an infant-strap during the flight. Infants over 6 months and under two years must sit on the adults lap unless there is a vacant seat. The minimum age limit for infants on scheduled flights is two weeks of age, on the date of departure. Infants will not be charged Air Passenger Duty or Airport Taxes (unless you are purchasing a seat), other taxes may apply.

  MEALS
A meal or snack is served on most scheduled flights. For travellers with special dietary requirements, special meals can normally be requested, and must be done so, well in advance of the travel date. JTA accepts no liability for any requested special meals not being available.

  SEATING REQUESTS
Where possible, JTA will pass on any seat requests to the relevant airline. However we must stress that seating requests cannot be guaranteed and we cannot be held responsible for requested seating being unavailable at the time of check – in.

  SMOKING
On most airlines smoking is not permitted. We recommend that you contact your airline regarding current smoking policies for the airlines on which you intend to travel.

  OVERSEAS DEPARTURE TAXES
Many countries impose airport or departure taxes. Where these can be paid in advance, the cost will be included in the ticket price quoted. Other taxes may be payable in cash at the destination.

  FREQUENT FLYER SCHEMES
Not all airline tickets sold by JTA are eligible for mileage/points accrual. We strongly advise that you check with the airline(s) concerned regarding the use of frequent flyer membership(s) concerned regarding the use of frequent flyer membership(s) with your booking.

  INSURANCE
You must have insurance; we insist that in your own interests, you and other members of your party are adequately insured.

  CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING
Name changes or departure changes are not always permitted by the airline. We will do our best to help you; but most airlines treat name changes as cancellations and charge accordingly. These charges will be passed on to you. Once airline tickets have been issued, any changes made to the ticket may result in you having to pay for the cancelled ticket and purchasing a new one.

If the services booked are dependent on a minimum number of people using the service, we will have to recalculate the total cost based on the new number of passengers travelling. The cost may therefore increase but as this is not a cancellation charge, it may not be covered by your insurance.

  IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL
All cancellations must be made via telephone to our Reservations Centre and confirmed in writing within 7 days. Refund of air tickets depends upon individual airline and ticket conditions; not all tickets are refundable. Any unused tickets should be returned to the JTA Travel address at the earliest opportunity. Tickets returned more than 60 days after travel was due to commence will have no refund value. All refunded tickets will be credited to the card which was initially billed for the cost, less an administration fee determined by the applicable airline fare conditions. This fee is variable without prior notice.
In most cases carriers do not refund any part of the price paid if you wish to cancel your scheduled flights at any time after your booking has been accepted by us. Your rights to a refund, in whole or in part are set out in the fare rules applicable to your scheduled flight and the carrier’s terms and conditions. Further, in addition to any charge that the carrier may make, we also levy a cancellation charge.

No refunds will be given for unused services unless an amendment or cancellation has been made in which case the charges shown above will apply. Any modification or abandonment of travel arranged, by the client after departure will not be accepted as any basis for a claim against JTA.

IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR FLIGHT
From time to time it may be necessary for the carrier to make changes to, or to cancel your flight after your booking has been accepted. Most changes are minor and in all cases you will be told as soon as reasonably possible before the date on which you are due to depart.
Any liability of the carrier as a result of a significant change is set out in that carrier’s terms and conditions of carriage. No compensation will usually be paid where the change or cancellation is due to Force Majeure, such as those events which are unforeseen, unusual or unavoidable circumstances beyond our control or that of the carrier. We are not responsible where changes are made by Low Cost airlines.
